IN HEARTS WAKE

INHEARTSWAKE began in 2006 as five individuals brought together through a common interest in heavy music. Inspired by the natural surrounds of Byron Bay they shared an enthusiasm for a better world, which solidified them as friends and acted as the catalyst for creativity. The Byron Bay five piece released their highly acclaimed UNFD debut “Divination” in August of 2012, cementing their position in the hardcore/metal scene.

The first few years saw the band take to the roads around Australia off the back of several independently released EP’s, sharing their music, learning from their peers and each other whilst gaining an insight into the fundamentals of what it was to be a young touring act.

The natural progression towards a full-‐length release was imminent and in early 2012 INHEARTSWAKE made the trip to Random Awesome Studio’s in Michigan, USA to record with renowned engineer ‘Josh Schroeder’ (The Color Morale, For The Fallen Dreams, Legend). Meanwhile at home, national interest was increasing and it caught the eye of Melbourne based company UNFD, who went on to release “Divination” and sign the band for worldwide management.

INHEARTSWAKE have since shared stages across Australia and New Zealand with bands such as Parkway Drive, Enter Shikari & Northlane. Playing over 100 dates in the first eight months of their album’s cycle, INHEARTSWAKE have developed into a seasoned act while more recently being included as part of the ‘Brother In Arms Tour’ across venues in Australia, Europe and the UK with The Amity Affliction. INHEARTSWAKEhave also delivered capacity shows across two incredible headline tours as part of the “Divination” album cycle. The latter being The Survival Tour, which saw them bring out Canadian’s Counterparts for nine dates around Australia.

SWEATER BEATS (USA)

HW&W / BROOKLYN

If you’re into a poolside soundtrack version of 80s NYC freestyle pumped up with the future fruitiness of trap and your spirit animal is a girl with a bangin’ pair of calves… then Sweater Beats is your man and his jams are the jams for you.

Born in the year infinity and now sliding through the world via his own brand of dream-soaked cleavage pop and lushed out wavestep, you’d have to try pretty hard in 2013 to get through a day without getting caught up in a track, remix, edit or mixtape Sweater Beats has churned out within the last 6 months. The grind is on and it is so smooth.

Alongside HW&W labelmate (Australia’s own) Ta-Ku, Sweater Beats racked up a lot of hype at the recent SXSW festival in addition to the high profile support already flowing in for the gold he’s released into the wild so far. His HW&W jam (the Cassie-sampling “Make a Move”) is busting up to a mil plays via Majestic Casual’s YouTube channel, his Scrufizzer remix is out and slaying on Ministry of Sound, “MLLN DLLR” is still going bananas everywhere but Annie Mac’s pronunciation and he’s got Raekwon guesting on a cut in the very near future.

Want more? …Sweaters was named #9 on Billboard US’ ‘Next Big Sound’ chart, he has a forthcoming EP out on HW&W as well as a slew of remixes in the coming months!

Widely acknowledged to be one of Australia’s most enthralling and popular live acts, AvS’ accolades are many: two platinum and gold EPs; a #2 and #9 in triple J’s Hottest 100 (for Parlez-Vous Francais? and Magic Fountain); a J Award nom and an ARIA award for their debut album The Experiment, which charted at #2 in its week of release. However, it’s their irresistible energy, relentless touring and undeniable sense of fun that has won over countless fans from all over the country and beyond.

It’s been some time since the band have released new material but they’ve been busy: multiple US tours (including Bonnaroo and Governors Ballfestival slots); a well received side project, and ‘inspiration gathering and research’ from around the world.

The band also recently headlined Melbourne’s St Kilda Festival to an audience of 20k+ and a Channel [V] Open Surf event in Manly to 5k+ people. In April, the guys will set out on a national run of club dates that will see them debut a brand new live show. Don’t miss them.
